Prior Convictions in Napa

Being charged with drunk driving in California for the first time can be a very scary experience and one that comes with some pretty harsh consequences. Even so, being charged with drunk driving for the second, third, fourth, etc. time is worse and often results in extremely more detrimental penalties being imposed.

Our Napa DUI lawyers are well aware of the serious ramifications that are faced by those who are charged with a subsequent DUI offense. We possess a vast amount of experience handling all kinds of DUI cases and can help to minimize the consequences that you face when charged with a second, third, fourth, or more drunk-driving offense. Below is a list of some of the penalties that are imposed against multiple DUI offenders.

  • License suspensions up to 2 years
  • Alcohol treatment programs up to 30 months
  • Jail time of up to one year (Those convicted of DUI are generally required to spend a minimum of 96 hours in jail.  However, in some instances, an experienced Napa DUI attorney may be able to get this jail time converted to community service.)
  • 3 to 5 years of court probation

Third Napa DUI Offense

It should be noted that oftentimes, four or more DUI's can result in a felony DUI charge punishable by up to three years in a state prison and permanent revocation of driving privileges.
